  1. I had an overactive thyroid.  Mine had to be removed due to the condition.  They didn't do surgery.  They used radiation.  If you are pregnant, I am not sure how they treat it because of the side-effects.  If you just have anxiety, fixing your thyroid may help but if you are depressed you may need anti-depressants to help.  Don't get to worried.  Try to relax until your appointment.

  2. I did, and it does, but the medicine they give while pregnant only controls the thyroid. To fix the thyroid issue, the medication is alot stronger and cannot be taken whist pregnant. I had an overactive thyroid whist pregnant, and I have a healthy 3 year old.

Why are they putting you on anti-depressants/ Is that another cause?

I wouldn't take them, as when pregnant, hormones can make you depressed anyways, so wait and see how you are once the baby is born :) Good luck

  3. Yeah, I had anxiety 2 and they put me on Zoloft. Then they found out I had thyroid's disease and they put me on something called Synthroid. I slowly came off the Zoloft and I've been fine since! So talk 2 ur doctor about Synthroid and c if he'll get u a blood test 2 c what amount of Synthroid u need, if he recommends it!

  4. I have have a thyroid problem.  Medicine works but you will have to go on different medication for your depression.
