  1. i would rather throw up and get it over with than sit around with that nauseous feeling

  2. Yes, I have Emetophobia.

I make sure I eat food that will not make me sick.

I am doing well because I haven't thrown up for about 24 years.

Even at that time, I was coming out of surgery and not really sure if there was blood coming out of my mouth or the Big "V" word.

I was very nauseous coming out of the anesthesia.  It was a frightening experience.  I hope you are doing OK with your Emetophobia.

Good Luck and I hope you stay well.

  3. I don't really have it to the full extent that most people do, but I'll tell you what, there is not much I like less than being nauseous and having to throw up. I think it has to do with how uncontrollable it is. You can't stop it, no matter how much you need to. If you're going to throw up, that's it, it's happening, even if you're sitting there at work, or in your car in traffic, etc. That's what's so horrifying about it, along with the general feeling, of course.

  4. no i'm not afriad of throwing up but i hate when it happens and like most people i try to avoid it.

  5. Yes, I have it. If someone around me is going to throw up, I have to go as far away as possible. Also, if someone on the TV throws up, I have to close my eyes and block my hearing, or switch channel, even just reading about someone throwing up makes me feel bad. It takes up quite a bit of my life, because when I'm around friends I either eat less than everyone else, or eat really slowly, and I'm always afraid to say the real reason why and pretend that I'm not hungry.

Whenever I feel nauseous I have a panic attack as I'm afraid I'm going to throw up in public. I never actually have done, but it's a fear that keeps coming back. It also means that I like to sit near the door or at the end of a row at school or in a cinema, so that if I feel nausea, I don't have a long way to walk out so I can calm down and I have to take a bottle of water and nausea tablets with me everywhere which helps me psychologically as it is back up.

  6. Drink enough alcohol and you won't be afraid of anything. Especially of what your going to do after drinking to much alcohol. Trust me, you don't want details if you have emetophobia.
