I bought this because I seem to have good luck with Nike golf products and the first couple of hits I seemed to do well with this club. However, I have gotten poor shots more so then good ones with this driver. I used to be more on the slicing the ball but with this driver its just the opposite. I am coming down on top of the ball more and I am also hitting lots of hooks. The club head looks like it turns inward more then my other drivers do but yet it didn't say anything about it being draw club.

  1. my coach has the sasquatch... when he hits it, it sounds like a ball hitting an aluminum bat

  2. try adjusting your swing plane. if your slicing the ball your club should be more close in on your body and stay in with it longer. if your hooking it your staying in too long and you should open up your swing plane. also the position of your feet, like if you have an open stance, expect a fade a closed stance expect a draw

  3. Sometimes higher lofted drivers have anywhere from a 1 to 3 degree closed face.

Usually higher lofted drivers are marketed toward beginners, women and senior players with slow swing speeds.

Your Lucky 13 was designed for that player in mind.  More loft = more carry distance, especially at slower swing speeds.

In addition.. when marketing "beginner" level, game improvement drivers, alot of them will have a slightly closed face to prevent the slice.

So, if it appears your driver has a slightly closed face, then most likely it does.  But even if its slightly closed.. that isn't enough to justify Nike (or any company) to label the driver as a "draw" based driver.

Usually "draw" based drivers have some more of the weight placed in the heel portion of the head.. either permanent.. or "adjustable" weights, with screws.  Also, "draw" based drivers will/might have more offset at the hosel, in addition to the closed clubface.
