Does anyone on here really hate capital one?

I hate them.  I had a great card with a low fixed rate 6.9% for about 4-5 years.  Not too long ago, they sent a confusing letter in the mail about taking advantage of a rewards program that would increase my interest rate.  I did not want this "great" deal of raising my interest rate for some stupid rewards.  Little did I know, in some fine print it said that if I did not explicitly decline the offer, they would automatically enroll me in the program and increase my rate.  It was not clear at all that I had to explicitly opt out of this "great offer".  Needless to say, they raised my rate to 13% and will not do anything about it.  So, I transferred my balance to a different card and will never carry a balance with them again.  I am not canceling the card because it was my first one (credit score purposes).  I guess customer service doesn't mean anything anymore.  I would suggest watching very closely their sneaky tactics.

If you are talking about their credit cards...I wouldn't say I hated them, but I sure didn't like them.  I can exactly remember back that far,

but I think they scammed me.  I paid it off asap and will never use them again.

Another one is HSBN.

No, I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

Nope, never had a problem with them. Have a credit card and a car loan through them with some super rates.

ohhh yea. they charge you so much for every little thing & tack on fees that u have no clue what they are. they put u in collections if u are 30 days late (and they are supposed to do it after 120 days), and they are just horrible. i wouldn't reccomend them to anyone, and i've had so many problems with them!
