  1. Take this approach to your local sporting goods dealer.  Since they pay wholesale, you might have better luck.

Same thing I tell people asking for "gas money" and cigs outside the mini-market.

  2. I'm with Artie on this one.My son catches bass off his $14 spincast rod from Walmart and some worms he digs up.

  3. When a person can afford a computer and internet access to submit such requests on a forum, such as this, I would assume they could also afford to purchase a basic fishing outfit.

    Perhaps I am wrong.

  4. Rather than getting on here begging for someone to send you something ( these days, at considerable expence ), why not do like the rest of us, SPEND a few bucks & BUY your own tackle ?

  5. My guess is, your either a 7-year-old on here telling the world to ask for your address and meet up with you at your house, literally giving yourself away to internet predators, or an older person who never learned what grammar was. If it's my first guess, Nobody is going to give you anything for free, and this wonderful website has users all around the world, so begging for free fishing gear, mainly targeting the people in your area, and using a bent hockey stick with a cat taped to the end to type with, has a   -%600  of anything positive on your end.

  6. R W is right, for the price of two video games you could start on a nice supply of gear. You may be able to find an estate sale in your area, a thrift store, or a fellow angler in your town willing to sell you some gear at a rock bottom price. Do your best to do for yourself first. It's rough out here these days and if anything, someone may be glad to unload some old tackle for a little gas money!

  7. yes i do but....know, I'll save them for "emergency poles", sorry!

  8. I just want to say thank you to everyone who posted answers to this question. Like Meatloaf said "you took the words right out of my mouth"

  9. once you become a full fledged fisherman, say in about 5 yrs.you will laugh at the question you asked.A fisherman/lady will give you his lunch, the keys to his car for errands, his water supply, his advice(sometimes) his jacket, maybe even his wife/husband,LOL. but a true fisherman/lady will never part with his gear sometimes we have a hard time parting with them for $$$$$$$.Sorry but no freebies.
