If so, would you recommend it? What are some pros about the Medicus, any cons?

  1. I have both the 5-iron and driver.

Pros: forces you to have a slow takeaway, heavier than a normal club, good tool to learn tempo

Cons: once you master it you can get away with swing flaws, I can deliberately swing outside in and the Medicus will not break, Medicus driver is shorter than a normal driver

Biggest downside of all (in my opinion) is that my medicus does not catch the over-the-top swing pattern.

  2. I own the 5-iron.  I would recommend it definately.

The medicus is best for two of the biggest flaws in golf.

    1.  Swinging on plane- the medicus will hinge in the slightest off plane direction.

    2.  Swinging with bad tempo - This is what I use it before a round and sometimes in the middle of 18 also.  Swinging too fast will kill your game.  If you try and do a hurried backswing, the medicus hinges.

I like mine and recommend it to you.

  3. I got the medicus 5 iron and it works great it has really straightend out my swing. A great tool for warming up before a game.

  4. Please note, I'm not a pro.. all here just base on my experience with myself and my son.  If you want to take the advise, you can take it with your own risk.

I had 1... maybe it work for somebody elese, but for me... my son, my daugther and some of my friends... this medicus doesn't work...

I think it not work for me, because it make me too much think about the swing plane.

I remember, 1 teaching pro ask my son (he is 8 years old n that time), what he is thinking when he swing the club... My son can't answer the question... then he try to hit few balls, again and again... he still can't answer the question...  Finally, I help my son, if you think about something then tell what you think, if you not thinking, then tell that you not thinking when you swing the club..  It surprised me  when he said that he don't think when he swing the club!!! But the teaching pro really happy... and explain to me, that what he really need to do... don't think... just swing your club naturally...

So, for me... it very important in golf swing is naturall swing, balance and tempo.

I bought last week swing setter designed by david leadbetter... this really help to practice your natural swing and tempo.

  5. my golf coach has one and its great for helping you stay on plan... if your hitting hooks or slices it can definatly fix that

i would recommend it to anyone to use once and a while to make sure your swing is okay

  6. they definatly will help especially on the take away also very good left hand only watching tv  elbow on knee . definatly will improve takeaway with no effort or just a few looks from family . very fast muscle memory
