Does anyone out there have experience adopting a child in Sacramento county from the county agency?

i am a single 25 year old African American woman. And i'm looking to adopt an African American child btween the ages of 1-4 years old in Sacramento Ca.

Are you interested in private or public adoption?

If you are interested in public, a starting place would be to contact the dept of social services to see what the process is to become a fost/adopt parent.  Usually you have to go to an orientation, fill out paper work, take parenting classes, home study and a few other things before you are certified as a foster home with the intention to adopt.  

If you are interested in private adoption you need to find an agency that you believe can help you and that you trust.  They will have a process for  you to follow also.  Hope this helps.
