  1. Transferred from BT to post office at the beginning of November.  BT were terrible.  Post office is no better so far ... but at least the BT email client was usable, unlike the PO client.  It is the worst I have ever come across.

I cannot get the PO wireless router to talk to my existing wireless installation but it works fine for hard-wired connections.  It might not be a fault with the router but may be down to the fact that the PO provides only the most basic instructions and no software discs or manuals.

None of the on-line account management functions work on the PO installation.  I can't even look at my monthly bill  - PO didn't say until AFTER I'd signed-up that all monthly bills are only available on-line ... unfortunately, their software won't let me see it.

I couldn't believe that to PO could have the same abysmal server response times that BT had ... then I found out that PO just buys capacity from BT so I am still getting the same c**p I was trying to get away from.

I am paying for 'up to 8 mb/sec' but have never got more that 2.5 mb/sec so far .... My neighbour gets 6 mb/sec. BT would never acknowledge we have a duff line.

The phone transferred seamlessly but I lost my 'Friends and Family' numbers.  PO has a similar scheme but, because their on-line account management functions don't work, I can't add my favourite numbers for a discount.

The only saving grace is that PO works out about £11 per month cheaper.  Overall, I am badly disappointed with PO broadband.

  2. I did.   now...I don't.

Some ISPs only talk to BT owned AND managed lines.
