Its the day that Guanacaste which belong to Nicaragua  joined Costa Rica because it was a peaceful country its called el dia de la anexion, and they celebrate it on the 25th of July. Rainforest is not very lush in Guanacaste area, but most definaetly go to Arenal in Fortuna, you can go on canopy tour. And in Guana everyone will be celebrating with their dancing, and food.
