But the Earth has always had weather cycles of hot and cold, so most likely this time is no different.  It's just now humans are here to record it happening.

If that's the case, there's nothing at all that any amount of scaremongering and running round like headless chickens can achieve.

I hope it is similar to the Millennium Bug.  Companies and governments recognized that it was a huge problem and they spent a lot of time and effort to fix it, so that the consequences ended up being relatively minor. If they hadn't fixed it, there would have been a big mess.

Anthropogenic global warming has some parallels, but the consequences of ignoring it would be much more costly.

There are still people striving to perpetuate the hoax, and they wouldn't bother if nobody believed them. So, to answer your question, yes, there are some gullible people out there. What's interesting is how the terminology is changing. Global Warming doesn't carry much weight, anymore, when the data shows cooling, so now they use the term, "climate change", as though change were a bad thing, and they still attribute it to any and all human activity that produces economic prosperity in the Western World.

The Bird flu is real(just because they didn't affect you directly, but then you are not a chicken farmer are you?), and the millennium bug was real(I have programs that will not work because it is past year 1999.)

Here is truth about global warming:

Global warming is one-half of the climatic cycle of warming and cooling.

The earth's mean temperature cycles around the freezing point of water.

This is a completely natural phenomenon which has been going on since there has been water on this planet. It is driven by the sun.

Our planet is currently emerging from a 'mini ice age', so is

becoming warmer and may return to the point at which Greenland is again usable as farmland (as it has been in recorded history).

As the polar ice caps decrease, the amount of fresh water mixing with oceanic water will slow and perhaps stop the thermohaline cycle (the oceanic heat 'conveyor' which, among other things, keeps the U.S. east coast warm).

When this cycle slows/stops, the planet will cool again and begin to enter another ice age.

It's been happening for millions of years.

The worrisome and brutal predictions of drastic climate effects are based on computer models, NOT CLIMATE HISTORY.

As you probably know, computer models are not the most reliable of sources, especially when used to 'predict' chaotic systems such as weather.

Global warming/cooling, AKA 'climate change':

Humans did not cause it.

Humans cannot stop it.

By now I would hope to think that people were smart enough to see that the logic of "man made global warming" just isn't adding up.

However I do realize that those who's income is derived from this hoax will always claim it's real and there are others who will always believe because they have been taught that they should feel guilty for everything they do, own, and have.

I am encouraged that many people are giving this idea a better looking over and coming to their own conclusions that the "facts" just don't add up.  They are smart enough to look at the data themselves and not just follow what the CEO of Ford, or Wal-Mart, or a NASA Astronaut tell them.

I still say, they can't predict the weather from day to day or hour to hour, what makes anyone think they can predict the climate!!!  Things change naturally on a regular basis.  Tropical storm "Fay" is a great example.  They keep changing the predictions and paths, but it keeps changing hourly.
