  1. I have worked for peace on several continents and most specifically in Afghanistan and Iraq.  Took many risks and sacrificed much to bring peace to those people and ours.

Our enemies will not sit down to negotiations  unless they are near defeat.

  2. cause murder is a billion dollar industry. both the bush family and the bin laden family are making billions off this war. greed always gets in the way of peace.

  3. i don't know I totally agree we need to work for peace, every life is important! US lives, Darfur, China lives, all important to me!

  4. Because we have been conditioned and death has lost it's shock value.

The first US mortality in Iraq, 1st Lt. Therrel Shane Childers, was shocking and saddening, now we hear about mounting casualties everyday and don't give it a second thought.

We were all upset and up in arms over losing 2973 American lives on September 11, 2001. But, we have lost more US lives in Iraq since the war was initiated, 3648.

People just get hardened to the suffering and misery that goes on around them on a daily basis. Eventually it just doesn't seem to have an effect unless it is happening to them or to someone they know and care about.

  5. I didn't know we weren't. Silly me.

  6. Because there are people out there who only speak the language of violence.  And in order to get our point across ("Leave us alone.") we have to communicate with them in the only language they understand.

  7. Exactly how do you broker peace with somone who's only demand is convert or die???
