Does anyone own a 40" or larger visio hdtv and how good is the picture...I am thinking of getting one?

visio is a c**p brand make for restaurants and bars (not really but that is where they really dont care).  when shopping for a tv it is all about the contrast ratio.  5000:1 is mid to low grade.  10000:1 is great (i have a 40" samsung lcd that is 10000:1 $1400).  always go with the one with the best contrast ratio and you will not be let sown with the picture quality.  after that it is all about what you you are inputting to it.

We had a 50" plasma from visio, we had it maybe 3 months when the screen went black. The tv had gone out (for what reason i don't know) but we returned it for a panasonic w/ the sd card reader and have had no problems. But as far as the visio i don't recommend it.
