Question:

Does anyone own a RWS-48 pellet rifle? Is it worth paying $325?

I've been drooling over the RWS-48 pellet rifle for several months, but $300-plus dollars is no chump change. Is there another German-made pellet rifle that's cheaper but has the same muzzle velocity and fine workmanship? Where can you buy it online?

  1. The Side lever is the best of the 'springers'.

Do be aware that as a class, springers are harder to shoot

    accurately than 'pumpers'.

(That spring driven piston jumps before the pellet leaves the barrel

    and disturbs your hold.)

Don't fall in love with that high velocity. It does no good if you miss.

You can get good with a springer, but it takes a lot more work to do it.

  2. its a good gun but u should try to talk the price down to like 250 thats about all its worth

IMO, If you're looking for a small game hunter**, the RWS 350 is as good as it gets.

    **Spring piston, air rifle.

Weihrauch - Makes some of the finest sporting air rifles in the world. In "general" they are more accurate, less powerful and more expensive than RWS rifles.
