How good are they. Do they work as well as GE says? What have you noticed about cooking times?

  1. In my last home, I did tons of research and then decided to buy the Trivection oven.  I no longer have it, and can't fully recommend it.  In addition to the Trivection it had a lot of nice features.  It had a convection modes, regular oven modes, proofing mode, warming etc.  The issue was the Trivection.  It worked fantastic on things like baked potatoes.  It was also very good at calculating how to cook something based on what it was.  It figured out the amount of microwave vs regular heating and convection.  On things like roasts, however, it really didn't speed up the cooking time much.  They say you can use your regular cookware, but when I used my Calphalon roasting pan, I would get arcing in the oven.  I think it is great to speed up things like lasagna or casseroles, but it just wasn't quite as impressive as I had hoped.  Honestly, I used it as a regular oven more than I did a Trivection oven.

    Hope that helps!
