it can  take pictures,

and videos.

it can change colors of your picture, you can adjust alot of things.

Yes the Nikon S550 is a very good camera, i am sure you won't be dissapointed. I also have the S200, but all the same the S550 will do everything you want.

i recently purchased a black one off online retailer (LizardPrice) in the UK some 3 weeks back. Camera is quite compact and has given no issues since. Would surely recommend this camera!

Don't own that one but I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z6.  I bought it about 2 years ago and I love it.  My advice to you is to shop online though.  I saved 250.00 by buying online through an internet store who deals only with this type of electronics therefore they don't have to carry all different types of inventory.

I am NO professional but have had problems with the local photo processing places picking up my photos.  They say they are professional.  My camera is all automatic!
