Hefner has one thing in his favour, he has the Christian name of an English Saint - Saint Hugh of Lincoln.  Perhaps if Mister Hefner were to go up the aile of Lincoln cathedral on his knees, he might eventually be allowed into Heaven.

    Bad boy Hefner - repent!

  4. NO! whats the point if that!

  5. Frankly, I miss the writing of Playboy from the 1960s and 1970s.  In those days you got quality interviews with the likes of Cassius Clay, etc.  When I read an interview I want to get the essence of the subject - I don't need to know about their personal lives, I want to know about their craft.

Today I prefer men's magazines over women's (too girly and heavy on the cult of motherhood) but I dream for a quality version of Playgirl with articles on tech gadgets, women's sports, and s**y photos of Daniel Craig. *wry smile*

  6. Playboy is like the Newyorker with ****

  7. I used to subscribe to PLAYBOY, but its Lunatic Left politics offended me. I only look at the pictures in it, if I look at all. GQ also has Lunatic Left politics, so I don't look at it at all. It has no nude gals, after all. I don't need some morons who publish mags to think for me and even tell me how to vote. GQ's fashion staements are extreme, so who needs it? One issue was devoted to anti-gun propoganda. Another had Terrence Rafferty saying horrible things about Steve Reeves just after he died. That is not how a true gentleman behaves. PLAYBOY told readers to watch Michael Moore's trash before they voted. It gave Michael Bellesiles the soapbox and then upheld him when he was revealed as a fraud and had awards for his book confiscated, his publisher dropped it and he was forced to resign from Emory University. These lapses in judgement and many more make me boycott the mag. I don't recall any such serious offenses in ESQUIRE. I did correct them when they misidentified a Cartier "Tortue" watch as a "Ronde L.C." That is minor compared to PLAYBOY and GQ. I have the firt issue of PLAYBOY and many from the 1950's and 1960's. They were much better than the new ones overall.
