Does anyone really care about the environment?

I don't mean to sound like a total jerk but don't all these tree people get on your nerves? I mean it seems like this whole enviromentalist thing is becoming a religion. And isn't anyone sick of these Hollywood celebs. leading the pack? I do think its important to conserve but really you can't say that some of these people don't care about trees and animals more than people. What do you think?

See, environmentalists need to care about trees and animal because it is a way of gauging the planet's health. Also, who wants to see nature continue going to the dumps? As humans, we should be proud that our planet is so rich in green. Whether the "celebs" realize it or not, I believe that it is that pride that gives you the impression that they care more about trees and animals than people.

Personally, I'm not sick of the environmental movement. They need to be vocal about these things for several reasons - the survival of humanity being the biggest. Of course, an environmentalist can be as big of a jerk as anyone. Are you referring to one specific activist? They can't all be jerks, after all.

I feel very strongly about conservation. We need to be responsible. But I think some like the "tree huggers" take it too far.

I think it's important to do what I can, but I'm not going to get upset if I forget to take my reusable shopping bags to the grocery store. There's only so much we can do. And I agree. The whole environmental movement is starting to take on religious aspects.

What drives me INSANE are these idiot celebrities who cry about global warming and then fly around in private jets. They're hypocrites, and I get sick of listening to them.
