Does anyone really care that the NYC Taxi drivers are going on strike?

I sure don't. They overprice people for lousy service. They are rude disrespectful & obnoxious & they try their best to cheat unsuspecting customers by taking longer routes & fixing the meter to go faster. They also discriminate against minorities & won't take customers to certain neighborhoods. If they go on strike for a long time i say godd riddance. Nobody but the wall street & corporate types will miss them anyway.

Nope - dont care.

I rode in a taxi 6 blocks and it costed me 18.00 - then the guy expected a tip - I spit on the car as I got out, there's your tip.

Who cares about them - they are greedy relentless ashwipes that need to find a real job.

i live in nj but when i go to school (in ny) or anywhere in ny i take the subway,taxis there isnt that plesant

No. I live in LA. And I didn't know taxi drivers were union.
