Does anyone really legitimately care?

if Bristol Palin is pregnant? Really. I understand attacking your candidate's opponent when you see advantage. But seriously, does it really matter to you if she is? If so, how and why? Does this really affect how you view a Vice President candidate? If it was a male VP candidate, would it even make the news? If you don't like Palin because of her views on issues, fine. But disapprove because of her kid? We elected both Bush's despite thier children's behaviors. This isn't a rant, I want people's real opinions, no party rhetoric.

  1. Just another illegitimate child for the government to support- since our tax dollars will pay for the birth of the child -- do we get to name it?

  2. No I don't.

But, IMO, the backlash is coming because of the arrogance and holier than thou attitude that the GOP portrays about family values.

The Palin pregnancy is the total opposite of what the GOP stands for.

So, of course, they're going to get called on the carpet for it.

Funny how nobody from the GOP had ZERO issue with Obama getting trashed for months about being a Muslim, non-Patriotic, etc.

Works both ways but the GOP gets pissed off when the tables are turned against them.

  3. It's all smoke and mirrors. They knew all this would come out and how it would unfold and that everyone would be caught in the frenzy and it's an excuse to take the air out of Obama's ever inflating balloon but it will backfire.

Even if it doesn't.  The world knows what the word REPUBLICAN stands for now, and frankly I don't really think America will ever be what it was after this.

So yeah, turn inward, secure those borders, put up huge cement walls whatever, who cares anymore.

  4. No Democrat is going to disprove of Bristol for having a child out of wedlock. Well, maybe the conservatives will. But it is the conservatives who hate this kind of thing, not the Democrats.

But of course you know that and everyone knows that and I know your just trying to stop the avalanche of bad press about Palin. Good luck. But don't try to stop it on the backs of kids. That's disgusting.

  5. it is stupid and it even stupider how people are saying she is unqualified because of her husband's DUI 22 years ago!  they are really desperate for dirt on Palin.  hopefully she shuts up the media for good tonight at the convention

  6. Does not matter at all!

No one said anything when Chelse got pregnant. From what I have read she has had a few abortions and no one said a thing.

  7. Nope I really don't care.... If there weren't as many teens pregnant outside of marriage than there is today I might care... but since teen pregnancy is so prevailant in today's society it just makes her like all the othet teens in the U.S.

And no this statement doesn't mean I condone teen pregnancy, because I don't.... it just means that I am not going to chose a President and VP based on something that happens to nearly everyone that has teenagers...

  8. I could care less how many kids Palin's children have out of wedlock. Obama is going to win no matter what.

  9. I dont care and this is coming from an Obama supporter...her daughter just seems like those annoying girls who think they rule the world...but I dont judge her mother by it

  10. Yes I care. That's why I'm voting for McCain / Palin.

  11. just goes to show the hypocrisy.

  12. The fact that this girl is pregnant is very uninteresting to me...I am not big on babies...well OK, if it's other people's babies it is OK..I don't want one..I have cats...

  13. Bristol Palin's pregnancy is not and should not be an issue, however, the liberal media apparently begs to differ.

  14. It's just a way for the Obama lovers to take attention off the issue that Sarah Palin has more experience than he does. It's really as simple as that. Her daughter is not her, so no, I do not care.

  15. I really do, cause Palin's beliefs force her moral values on everyone.

If she wasn't for abstinence only s*x education and against the use of contraceptives.....I wouldn't have a problem.

She preaches high moral values, but if you check the dates....her first child was conceived before she was married and now her daughter is following the same path.   She should get her house in order before she tells everyone else how to manage theirs.

I don't want a person like this, or anyone else, telling me how to raise my daughter.

  16. I care only about McCain's choice for v.p.  It tells a lot about his judgment.

But I needn't worry after all.  OBAMA is the one.

  17. It really depends how you look at it. Traditionally Conservative republicans would care about a situation like this one. Its humorous to me though being a republican I could really care less about it. I don't think it is a good thing though. If it were Hilary I know the republican party would have bashed it into the ground making comments about it. Its funny though because idiots like Glenn Beck would argue that its no big deal, when he can always be heard criticizing Obama for the most ridiculous reasons. If this were Obama's daughter at 17 getting pregnant Republicans would make a huge deal out of it. Barack took the high road on this one saying her family has nothing to do with the election. To be quite honest I have heard plenty conservatives upset over John Mccains pick in Sarah Palin and this was only icing on the cake. This country tends to blame parents for the mistakes their children make, which one could argue either way. A lot of the anger towards her makes sense though. She has a lot on her plate.
