  1. Amos Moses was a cajun...

He lived by hisself in the swamp

    He hunted alligator for livin'

He'd just knock 'em in the head with a stump...

  2. I remember "The Survivors" fondly, and I loved the scene in which Reed's character's wife asks him if he's seeing another woman because he's being so secretive, and he explains that he's a professional hitman, to which she say, "Oh, thank God."

Jerry Reed had a lot of talent, as a songwriter, as a singer, and as a comic actor, but he was seldom given a role that called for him to do a stretch of any kind ("The Survivors" was an exception but wasn't a popular movie), and once he turned to acting it seemed like the public wouldn't accept him as a singer and songwriter any longer. It is a pity Reed didn't wind up with more and better roles.

  3. heck of an actor but a great banjo and guitarman he was on the glen campbell show in the early 1970's and was really good on it

  4. I didn't see the movie ( I think).  Don't know Jerry Reed (maybe I'd recognize his face though).   I'm sorry about anyone who dies.... well.. as long as they were nice people when alive.
