Does anyone remember about four years ago when the entire sky was red due to some sun activity?

i feel as though I'm the only person that remembers it actually happened.

It's called Sunset, it happens a lot.

Other than that, I don't recall any other time it was red.

It sounds like you're referring to a bright aurora (northern lights). I've seen a couple of auroras which lit up the night sky.

what you saw was just the sunset... it can and does have varying colors....

if you're lucky enough you'll even catch a flash of green here and there....
