If I remember correctly, baby Jessica fell through a well in the 80's. One of her rescuers committed suicide because of depression after the ordeal of saving her. Just google baby Jessica well. Also, I think Mt. St. Helen's erupted in the 80's. Our president, Ronald Reagan was shot in March, 1981. The space shuttle exploded after take-off January 28, 1986. (My mother's birthdate). We beat the Russians in Hockey at the Olympics in 1984.
