  1. nascar didnt have a silent lap 3 the tv station had it

  2. I don't remember silent lap 3's.  What was that for?? Was it after Sr. died??  If it was I couldn't want NASCAR for 3 years at least.  Just couldn't bering myself to watch any racing at all after he passed.

I know Waltrip won the 500 that year.

In only a few minutes the story wasn't about him winning any longer.

  3. Ummm....uhhh....I'd just say it was great 'medicine' for the #3/#29 team that Kevin won that day.

  4. Yes I remember that. It was a great way to give tribute to a Legend !

  5. Use punctuation and capitalization, please. It's hard to read.

Back during the 2001 season, NASCAR and their fans saluted Earnhardt on every 3rd lap of each race. The commentators were silent, and the fans held up three fingers.

What they pretty much said about Harvick was that Dale's team was the same, just a different driver and all. Harvick drove the car that Dale Sr. was supposed to race in Atlanta. It was an exact replica of the 2000 finish where Earnhardt edged Bobby Labonte at the line by 0.006.

Steve Park won the week after Earnhardt passed away, at the Dura Lube 400 at Rockingham. He had an emotional interview in victory lane, and who could blame the guy? He lost his team owner a week before so to come and win the next week was just awesome. It was sad to see Dale Jr. wreck in the first lap, and strangely enough, the wreck looked eerily similar to the one that took Senior's life a week before.

Waltrip didn't even get to celebrate his win in the Daytona 500 long, so for Dale Jr. to bring home the checkers during the Pepsi 400 was a chance for him to celebrate with Junior. What a great race that was.

  6. ummm yes. i think. whatever you said. what did you say?

  7. Your question is hilarious. I didn't understand any of it..!!!

  8. Yes I remeber it very well was kind of weird but cool! Maybe you think I am crazy but that first year after Dale Senior's death his ghost was in the car with Kevin. The Silent 3rd Lap was really cool, Dale Earnhardt Senior forever will always be the Best NASCAR driver ever!!! also cool how and when they won but you forgot Dale Junior's win back at Daytona that year Pepsi 400!!!

  9. Yes i just saw it on best d**n nascar moments the other night. And whatever else you said i don't have a clue. Try not running over the punctuation next time. I'm Bi-polar and that's the way i rant when i'm off meds

  10. Here is the finish of that race, hopefully you'll hear what you're looking for. When I watched it just now it was like watching it 7 years ago all over again!
