Yes,absolutely delicious, it was a long time ago and I think they were cooked in lard. I still cook with it today and ignore the health freaks.

If it was good enough for my ma and pa and their parents then its OK for me.

at my school they were usually cold and not crispy at all.I did not like them.

No.  But I do remember hard, black indigestible lumps of a coal-like substance that I was forced to eat by certain teachers whose fat and psychopathic wives would thrash them within inches of their lives.
