Does anyone remember that story from 2004 about the man who stabbed his wife because she wanted to vote?

The story was very clear and gave names and locations and everything...

But... Poof!!! (it's gone).

I distinctly remember that there was story circulating in the mainstream media about a man who held his wife hostage for 48 hours or something by holding her at knife point.

Supposedly he did this on election day because he wanted to keep her from voting for John Kerry.

Does anyone else remember this story or have I gone completely insane?
