Who remembers the Radio One Roadshows from the 70s 80s and 90s?

What were your favourite games and competitions? How did they work?

I remember the mileage game, but can't recall many of the others...

If anyone could jog my memory that's be great!

  1. Bitz n pieces.

  2. I remember them!  They came to my town when I was about 6 (which is 18 years ago).  I can't remember any of the games!

  3. I used to go to the Bournemouth Radio One Roadshow, it was brilliant!  My favourite game was Bits and Pieces where they played parts of songs and the contestants had to say what it was and who sang it.

  4. Living in the North East - we always got the really rubbish DJs - usually Janice Long or Annie Nightingale!

There was always a game that involved identifying songs from little snippets..... but like you, the mileage game really stands out - 136 miles from Seaton Carew to Berwick (or whatever!)

  5. I went and seen one in Newquey and once in Great Yarmouth whilst on holiday.

Another game they did was bit's and pieces.

    Don't they do them anymore?
