Does anyone remember this Christian childrens book?

Question

A kind old Man builds a village for his many children, he builds a wall around it with one hole big enough to crawl through. The wall is to keep the children safe. This man loves his children but knows how curious they are. One named Paladin finds the hole and crawls through, The man has known long before that this would happen and has made arrangements to bring him back to him. I cannot remember the name of this book please help.
