Does anyone remember this animated children's film?

Question

All I remember about it is that there is a group of kids and the ending is where they are in a library and there's a man who drinks this potion and turns into a monster (like jekyll and hyde). This is all i can remember but i really need to find this out and it's bugging me a lot

yeaahh sounds like the pagemaster to me too.  the one where he finds three books and turns into a cartoon?  great movie.
