Does anyone remember what the price of a pint of beer was in ireland just before the euro changeover?

I'm just trying to gauge the price difference with how much a pint costs now.

well when i was drinking with Dev,s grandaddy it was 2 bob fifty

As far as I can remember (and it seems like SO long ago!!) It could be anywhere between £2-£3.50.  Less in the country more in the cities.  I believe that in some villages you could get a pint of Guinness for under £2.
