Does anyone respect or like 50 Cent still?

After he challenged Kanye to a record selling competition and lost and decided not to create any new solo albums, his recent G-Unit CD isn't platinum yet from what I hear and he even low blows his rival The Game by releasing his album to download on his website, I mean sure you don't like the guy but that is no class.

You know, there are all these people coming out here saying "IF YOU RESPECT 50 THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU"  I don't know where they come up with that conclusion.  What has he done wrong.  You don't even know him.  He is an entertainer people.  One has to realize that.  He is a good rapper in my sense, he uses his talents well.  He has done some work with DR. Dre which is why I like his music.  He has never done anything disrespectful in my behalf.  TO ALL YOU PEOPLE SAYING THAT HE HAS GONE DOWNHILL, YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIP-HOP AND ARE JUST HATERS.  JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE HATING ON SOULJA BOY.. I rate a rapper on his longevity as a credible artist. When 50 Cent brought out Get Rich Or Die Tryin he was one of the best newcomers in the rap game. When he decided to do things himself it went downhill. Secondly, he started beefing with Game...big mistake. Thirdly, he starts to bring out half-arsed albums when he should have the connects and money to make some of the most incredible rap music in the last 10 years. it isn't like there are many artists changing the game like back in the 80's and 90's. In summary, 50 Cent is a sell-out, a d**k-rider, a has-been, and should allow Dr.Dre and Eminem to control everything he does musically if he wants to be remembered a legend of the rap game.

How can you respect somebody who would sell his soul to Lucifer for an eight figure sum. How do you respect somebody who has done absoloutley nothing musically to earn respect. 50 has been on a slide downwards ever since his 2nd album. Get Rich Or Die Tryin' was not by any means a good album. It sold as many as it did because of the promo that surrounded it. Shoot Vanilla Ice 9 times and he'd sell double what 50 sold. The Game declared war with 300 bars and 50's comebacks were weak and pathetic and now it seems he's stupued to a new low with his latest in-genius plot even though Game's album is still expected to hit No.1 if it hasn't already. I think it's time 50 realised he's milked this business for all it's worth so he should take his money and realise he was always just a man with scars and a story to tell and now that he's told the story, he can leave quietly.

I can't respect him anymore. Not because of the Kanye thing, because he stopped trying. He was a good rapper, really good. He got rich and famous and then everything went downhill. He stopped trying after that. Now he's just in it for the money. He doesn't put out quality anymore. He doesn't care. He's just in it for the money, and that's not what hiphop is about. =]

Yeah i totally respect 50 cent. He stands up for what he believes in and the Game are nothing but a bunch of traitors. Thats why they were kicked out of G-Unit.

In answer to the question... i was at a 50 cent concert back in november last year and the place was so busy no one could move. Therefore yeah there are still lots of people who respect 50.
