...America in the near future? The Bush administration spent twice what the Clinton administration did on social program administration costs, dept. of education administration costs etc.

COULD, it be possible that an Obama or McCain administration could out spend the Bush administration regarding debt spending??? Do you believe the day of "restrained" government growth is over? What would you suggest to curb this epedemic of debt spending?

  1. Heh... They day of "restrained" government has been over for a looonng time.  At this point, neither party is going to change that.  The only way to change it is if everyone voted libertarian, but that won't happen, so I have to agree with the previous posts and say revolution.

  2. its been over for a long time

and short of a armed revolution to oust all the republican and democrats idon't see our government ever shrinking

the federal ticks have embedded themselves to deeply

  3. Revolution!

  4. Well Obama will commission at least ten commissions to study the problem. The set up a separate department ot over see it with maybe four to five hundred political hacks (political appointees) They in turn with recommend at least twenty or thirty more separate departments be set up (all staffed by political appointees as favors.

Kind of like a couple famous lines comes to mind:

One when asked by a reported wasn't he lying. Governor Edwin Edwards of Louisiana answered her quot unquote, "Of course I am lying I am a politician I am paid ot lie that's my job:

The other line was in Search for Red October:

"I'm a politician when I am not kissing the babies I am stealing their lollipops:

So the answer is no the way it will change is if we have a complete military take over of the government.
