Does anyone see tunnels when they close there eyes?

Question

Sometimes I see tunnels when i close my eyes. Like I'm traveling backwards through varying shades of banded light. Not much color in them but hints of it. The tunnel never ends. Does anyone share similar experiences like this? Or know what it may be? Sometimes I see little sparks of light too. The sparks slowly grow and become people or places, usually places and people I have never seen. For a moment they become crystal clear, but if I try and hold the image of what happening... it always fades away. I see tunnels much of the time, the places and people are less frequent and happen when no tunnels are present. Any insight on this?

hah i used to see this as i was a kid, its just your eyes playing ticks on you,

also do this! close your eyes and put a lil amount of pressure on your eyes and the will be non stop and you will see more

Probably what you're experiencing is phosphenes, a completely biological occurence within the eyes.   It's caused by the pressure of your eyelid on your eyeball... Read more here:

Those aren't tunnels, that is your retinas letting off steam after all that bombardment from light.  Happens to me too.  Perfectly normal, but kinda cool isn't it?

I see weird stuff all the time. It never turns into people or places though.  It is like I am seeing a black screen on a computer and the screen saver is on and it is a bunch of waves of lines or moving tunnels as you say.  Sometimes it gets really intense, it is really hard to explain.  I haven't had it happen in a while.  If I focus on it when I close my eyes it is a lot more obvious.  

I thrive on weird little things like this and it is nice to know that someone else has weird things like this! :)

Sort of.  It's the light being filtered by your eyelids.  But then, with your eyes closed you can imagine just about anything.  Nothing paranormal about that.

i see swirls moving ones when I'm meditating trying to visualize it's fun to try to controle them with your mind
