Does anyone still collect "Beanies" ,the little toy animals?

My missus has still got quite a few knocking about, but we haven't bought any for ages.  She reckons they were going downhill anyway, quality and design wise.

but now theres beanie babies 2.0 so its sorta better

I spend about £3000 on them there sat in attic worthless.

I think it's a passed phase most people had. In a few years time they'll probably be retro kitsch and and become collectible again.
