I still have a silver one from school, but I never wear it and have never seen anyone else wearing one for years either.

  1. Your right.  I got a gold one many years ago, but its in a drawer somewhere in the house.

People tend not to wear badges in their lapels any more. When I was young everyone wore a badge of some sort, especially the Pioneer Pin.

Maybe people don't want to put holes in their clothing anymore.

  2. Mine was Gold and someone lost it on me.

  3. I am American, living in Austin, Texas, USA. We do have an active craobh of Conradh na Gaeilge here, and at least two of our local members have earned the Fáinne Óir, which they wear with great pride! Unfortunately, I am no longer active with our craobh; I have only very basic knowledge. But I have great respect for those who have earned it!

Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam!
