Does anyone study visual basic?

hey guys ive been fooling around with visual basic for a while in the last few years and im pretty good at making things.

if any of you study visual basic and make scripts or what ever.

is it worth me doing this in collage and is it good money

  1. visual basics is fun. but in college it gets a bit boring, visual basic, is only a basic programming language, most programs will run on Java script, microsoft is visual basic though, but it uses a lot more complex scripts then, if you like the programing language, go for it, but i did not like it,


  2. wow visual basic in college! thats new! what you need to be moving onto are lnguages from this list:

    java

    C#

    C++

    C

    internet languages (javascript, html, CSS, php, ajax...)

    java is the best to learn as if you have done a corse in jva then apparently you are 110% more employable than a visual basics programmer (thats not made up its FACT) :P hope i helped

  3. VB is undoubtedly the simplest and easiest platform to build major Windows applications. The problem is that like other Microsoft products they change faster than I change my socks.You will certainly need more than just VB. Get into server and client side scripting and the use of VB Net.
