My Partner seems to have this problem.. he will suddenly need to go for a poo ( I mean sometimes he can't make it) and he has cramps and pains in his lower stomach, whilst he doing it. It can alternate between loose and firm and the pains in his feet last for ages afterwards and are so painful to stand on, He has had camera up bum and down throat years ago but they come up with nothing. Sometimes he can go for ages without this happening but then it can come back out of the blue. Anyone know what this is? Or have advice about what it could be. I hear that with IBS the pains dont occur in legs and feet. Please help!!

  1. Please go and see a Doctor

  2. Get him to go to the doctors, this doesnt sound normal.

  3. he constipated

  4. I would think that some nerves are being affected from the cramps and muscle contractions.  I know sciatica can cause pains that go down into the leg and that may be the issue, or that the he may be forcing and that act may cause pressing on the nerves which cause the pain.  Just a shot in the dark here, has your partner ever seen a chiropractor?  Something may be out of alignment and may be causing some of these problems.

  5. no bum pains

  6. The leg pains are called sciatica caused by lower back strain and posture.

if he's squeezing too hard this will happen also high wheat in diet or starch can cause this. try avoiding a starchy diet and and more oats, fibre, veg and water cutting down on alcohol and caffein. This will have a huge effect on it too. and if he can bear it try a mostly vegetarian diet.

this is a posture and straining thing trapping nerves in the lover spinal column. Lean Backwards not forwards when on the loo! and squeze gently and not push.
