Does anyone take Cymbalta and does it work?

Yes I take Cymbalta and yes it does work.  I have been on other meds too but my doctor said that Cymbalta also helps with pain.  I can't say that I have not noticed any pain relief.  Then again I have good and bad days of pain.  The medicine definately helps with depression.  If you go on it and then decide to stop make sure you talk to your doctor before stopping cold turkey.  Some meds will make you more depressed if you don't cut back your doses before quiting.

I took cymbalta and it made me really nervous. I kept taking it for 3 weeks hoping the side affects would go away but it didn't. I think if my dr would of started me out slower it would of worked better, but she actually had me on the lowest dosage. i take paxil now and it works wonderful! I started out only 5 mg for 2 weeks, then 10 then up to normal dose which is 20, feel great, sleep good, energy, clear thinking and a good attitude. Hope this helps you.

      I just started taking Cymbalta a week ago and I can already feel a big lift in my mood and spirits.. My doc took me off  Lexapro and switched a few things up due to adding new Epilepsy meds also. I've already noticed such a change~ the best intidepressant I've tried in 20 years of being a guinea pig!. I was down in the dumps rock bottom for weeks, and this was like a miracle. So far anyway...

im allergic to cymbalta and it made me throw up constantly for 2 days the first time i took it...but i did feel kinda goofy like i was stoned so i guess it does make you happy, haha

wellbutrin is a good antidepressant

maybe try it instead
