  1. I was at one time taking 300 mcg., but my case was/is pretty severe. My TSH was 467. I'm taking 200mcg. now, and still don't feel well. I'm seriously considering taking a supplemental T3, but can't find a doctor that will prescribe it for me. I've heard that you can get it at vitamin stores, so I'm checking into it.

  2. I take 175 and that is a pretty high dose. If I go without it for any significant length of time, it all comes back--lethargy, constipation, dry skin, weight gain, feeling cold, and just cannot get enough rest.I was diagnosed about 20 yrs ago, when I  went to my follow up appointment a month later I had lost 12 pounds and couldnt believe how much better I felt. I have also "flipped" into the opposite--hyperactivity, sleeplessness, increased appetite with weight loss, fluttering heart, and feeling warm. You should consult an endocrinologist regularly.
