  1. Different policies are different - not all BC/BS policies have the same copays as others.


  2. Dependent on whether your policy is an individual policy (purchased direct from BC/BS, or an employer based policy, there may be several thousand options.

    Call the customer service number and ask what the specific benefit for your plan is for an office visit with a dermatologist.  Dependent upon the reason for your visit, you may also want to ask if the benefit changes if the doctor performs any surgery while in the office.  A biopsy or removal of a mole or wart or other growth is classified as surgery and some plans have different benefits when a surgical procedure is performed than if you just have a consultation with the doctor.

  4. Blue Cross/Blue Shield has about 50 different policies just in Texas.  Each with a different co-pay and deductible.

    Look at your policy, it will be stated in it.
