Should Nashville team be moved to Canada, Washington, Oregon, North Dakota, Iowa, or is there another hockey region that it should be moved to?

  1. A big reason the Jets and Nordiques moved from Canada to the US was the disparity between the US and Canadian dollar (teams got ticket revenue in CDN but had to pay players in USD for some reason).  Now that the currencies are effectively the same as each other, I bet those cities could support a team again.

Not sure about Seattle or Portland...Seattle had a team in the 70s or so but it didn't work out, but that's not to say things wouldn't be different now, especially with the void that the Sonics are leaving.

As long as we're talking about cities that used to have NHL teams...Hartford?

If they were going to move, I'd love to see them come here to Indy, but to be honest this town wouldn't sell enough tickets and the team would fail.

Maybe Houston...it's probably the biggest city in the US without an NHL team...then again it's really far South so probably not much of a hockey mindset there.

  2. while there definately should be more canadian teams i'm not sure relocating nashville would be the best answer to that problem. I would like to see the Nordiques and the Jetts come back but not at the expense of an american team. good luck to nashville in keeping their team but i hope we sweep the season series.

  3. As our wonderful Governor of Tn. Once said.

"Get your d**n hands off our team"

  4. i think it would be cool to get a hockey team in seattle!!!

its a good size city and i think they should relocate there, sorry nashville fans.

( im not biased, i dont live in seattle. lol.)

  5. Its ironic that a fan of a team that had no fans 4yrs ago would ask about whether another team should move or not

  6. I think that Nashville has done well with the Preds.  I would like to see them stay in Music City.

  7. If they would be moved, they should be moved to Wisconsin.  That way they stay in the Central Division, and enhance the already good rivalry with Detroit.  They also would be great games against Chicago and Minnesota.  Wisconsin people love their Packers, and I believe that they would show the same love for a hockey team, especially since it is in a hockey climate.

Everyone knows that Minnesota and Wisconsin are rivals at everything, same with Chicago.  It rivals the bad blood between Michigan and Ohio.  I think this would be a great move for the NHL.  So far I haven't witnessed a great move since I've been a hockey fan, because every move is from a great hockey market to a non-hockey market.  Sure, Dallas and Colorado were good fan draws from the beginning, but that is because their teams were really good.  Would have rather seen the NHL expand in those cities, than lose Quebec and the North Stars.  No disrespect to Nashville fans, but the Central Division would be very intriguing to have Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, St.Louis, and Milwaukee??.

PLEASE move either Nashville, Atlanta, or Florida to Wisconsin!!!  It just makes sense.  If Atlanta or Florida moved to Wisconsin, then Nashville can just join the Southeast where they belong.  They would fit in better rivalrywise in SEC country

  8. I don't think it should be moved at all. Nashville has done a good job with the predators and i believe that they are right where they should be.

  9. cosa? sono italiana!

  10. Nashville was lucky to play this season. They were supposed to be moved to Hamilton but the owner wouldent accept the offer because they thought that Hamilton would have a small fanbas so they rejected the offer.

  11. LMAO--- One of the richest men in Canada tried and failed..  Ask this again in 10 years when the lease is being re-structured...  ROTFLMFAO.....

  12. 1st Answer - Speak English.  Nobody cares about Italians.

Oregon, North Dakota, and Iowa don't have the population to support a franchise.  Des Moines, Sioux Falls, and other cities like that need to just enjoy the minors.  North Dakota needs to just enjoy the Fighting Sioux.  Washington doesn't really seem like a hockey state even with Vancouver so close by.  I would say Hamilton would be the first place a franchise should go, but I would pick another franchise to move before Nashville.

  13. No way Nashville is doing fine where they are at.  With other teams in places that make no since (Atlanta)  those teams need to be moved before Nashville who is starting to hold their own in the division they are in, and making a fan base because of it.  I may not like them but keep them where they are.     GO BLUE JACKETS!

  14. I just want more teams in Canada, and contrary to most people I talk to, I believe that there is enough talent for 40 NHL teams - 30 in the US, and 10 in Canada.
