Remember the "My lovely horse running through the fields" episode when they didn't want a winning song? I love Dustin but his song was not the best.

  1. Dustin is cool, if anything entering him in eurovision will give it some originality and might liven it up a bit. the last Irish act was really bad, I mean banjos and boughrons come on! what are we, a race of hicks?! Dustin is a part of Irish pop culture, a testament to the 1990's and the Celtic Tiger. He symbolises us in a way that we can relate to because he's a puppet, how can you argue with an inanimate object?=How can you argue with the Irish?

  2. No, i dont think they got the idea from Father Ted. It wasnt RTE's idea anyway, it was the guy's who created Dustin.

I think it's great, his song was miles better than the other c**p songs in the final, and its the closest we have to winning.

  3. No I think its because the Irish people have come to realise what a complete waste of time and money the eurovision is and that it is a load of c**p. when it started very few knew about other country's or people and it was a good way to experience other languages and customs but now they can turn on the tv or pc or hop on a plane and see it for themselves so there is no need for it anymore
