Does anyone think Ted Bundy deserved the dealth penalty or did he really need help instead?

I think he really needed help and had a messed up childhood. I think he should still be in jail but getting help and being researched to help us better catch serial killers...

Any thoughts?

That would depend on which line of thinking you have...

A conservative would support justice for those murdered by this individual through a fair trial.

A liberal would blame everyone except the offender for what he did, including his childhood problems. A liberal would want him coddled in prison, they'd want millions of tax dollars spent to defend him (Because they wouldn't take their OWN money out of their pockets to help), and would protest the conditions at the prison and demand the staff and warden be prosecuted for not feeding lobster or Tbone steak to the offender.

Simple enough, eh??

I'm not sure I believe in the rightness of the death penalty, but there is no effective treatment for that kind of psychopathy.

i think we have tried that and it doesnt work. they all have different issues and think differently one person is not going to give you insight enough into the minds of thousands to know how the all think. he needed help long before he did those things and now it is too late. he deserves what he gets. perhaps if he cared enough about himself or someone else cared enough and saw the signs he would not have gotten as far down as he did but that did not happen because he was sneaky and hid it from other so no he deserves to die exactly like the ones he killed.

No he even admited that he had to pay for the crimes that he did and was getting what he deserved.

Lets see. If he murdered one of YOUR family members, do you think you would have wanted him to get help? Or die?  You play with fire you get burned.  And he definately fried.

He was a monster, sick or not. He got exactly what he deserved. They need to fry a lot more people who acted like him.

Normally I would think that psychological counseling w/ a life sentence can be enough, but in his case the only thing that would work is 50K volts.
