Does anyone think Therrin is the next Bill Cowher?

Question

Bill Cowher was a great coach, and he got his team to the playoffs early and often during his tenure. He also scowled alot, and basically only smiled when they won.

Therrin has gotten his team to the playoffs twice in his 1st two seasons (his first year doesn't count as he came in late in the season). I have never seen Therrin smile once, not even when the Penguins were winning or won.

Does anyone else see the similiarities?

hahahaha, he always has his chin on his fist and his leg up on the bench. cowher never did that..

Definitely not.  Cowler is a tough guy but Therrien is a whiner.  Complaining about the obstruction and the diving Osgood rather than challenging his team shows what he's made of.  Cowler would have torn Malkin apart for not showing up.  Therrien just wants to play the blame game.

the red wing fans need to get over the diving thing. Osgood did dive. We did not whine over it. We just stated the obvious.

As for your question, I agree. The coach isn't a friend. He is there to teach and better the team. I know some wings fan is going to say he isn't doing a good job but he obviously is to get us to the finals. The wings are doing good, and they might win, but it doesn't mean we are scum on the bottom of their shoe like they are acting. We got this far thanks to the good coaching of Terrien. Just like Cowher.
