Does anyone think its time for both Parties to stop wasting tax payers money on the stupid conventions?

I think the five days is just a waste of time and our tax money with too many idiots speaking and not making any sense. Two days is more than enough to introduce the Nominees for both parties. This is what I call "Change" and "Country First."

The cities that hosts the conventions gets millions into their economy

it helps to create jobs,it helps the local businesses flourish

It helps advertisers to promote their products

It helps the country in general and no they are paid by tax payers money, they are completely sponsored by the political parties it has nothing to do with tax payers

HEY, IDIOT BOY:  READ MORE CAREFULLY.  THAT "CHECK OFF" MONEY GOES TO PUBLICLY FINANCING CAMPAIGNS.  NONE OF IT CAN BE DISBURSED UNTIL AFTER THE NOMINATIONS.  WHICH CAN'T HAPPEN TIL AFTER THE CONVENTIONS.

Diana is correct. Both conventions also got a lot of money from Corporate sponsors. No taxpayer money.

No taxpayer money goes into conventions at all. They are completely paid for by the parties and the campaigns.
