Does anyone think that GPS systems will moniter and control the maximum speed you drive soon?

Volunterally,I think it would be a good idea.Insurance companies would lower there rates,because lives would be saved.Satelites-GPS-Cars Computer,governing the maximum speed the driver can travel.

N0 - they would not want the liability of the car going out of control and the driver blaming them for having control of their acceleration.

No. The GPS would have no way of knowing if there was something in the road that you need to speed up to avoid, or if you need to pass a drunk driver to avoid being hit. There are plenty of reasons why someone would need to drive faster than the speed limit and this would cause more of a headache than be a help.

that would make it so much easier to play with, anyone can mess with the programming and change it up a bit.
