Does anyone think that I'm spoiled?

Question

I grew up in a middle class neighborhood, until I was about 10. my family moved into a middle-upper class neighborhood because there was a lot of kidnappings going on in my old neighborhood.

I was wondering if I'm spoiled; I have my own computer and a cell phone; but I paid for both of them, and built the pc myself(which cut the price of it in half). I just got my license and I drive a 1991 dodge stealth which I bought w/ money from my pc repair business. i only have to pay for half of the insurance, though.

everyone at my high school drives mercedes, BMWs, range rovers, hummers, etc. and they all wear name brands, but I wear hand-me-downs.

I have nice stuff, but I never demand stuff, I either get it as a gift or buy it myself. I treat everyone equally, but a lot of people around here are snobs.

I'm just wondering if I'm spoiled b/c I live in a very nice area.

Spoiled people very rarely work for anything they have.  Since you have worked for most of what you have, I would say you're not spoiled.

It sounds like you worked to get the things you mentioned in your question...so I would say no you are not. Don't worry about it ...just enjoy the things you worked hard to get. I take it you  live at home with your folks...it is their home ,so when you finish collage and go out on your own maybe you will be living in a small apartment.

You don't sound spoiled to me.  I think of spoiled as someone who always gets the best (thanks to mom and dad) without working for it.  It sounds like you are working for what you have.  You are just lucky to live in a very nice area!

how are you spoilt if you paid for most of your stuff? someone who is spoilt is someone that gets everything handed down to them without having t work for it.

you bought your own computer, cellphone and car! and you wear hand-me-downs! what kind of spoilt person would wear hand-me-downs?

and treating everyone equally has nothing to do with it, neither does living in a 'very nice' area.
