  1. No.

  2. Tony hasn't decided anything yet...doesn't anyone ever listen when he talks??

  3. Stewart will be HAAS/CNC and Mark Martin will drive the 5

  4. Mark Martin will be the #5 next year. Not sure if its 'official' yet, but its common knowledge now since Jayski reported it. Should be a lot of fun to watch.

  5. NO!  It's a real NO!

I would hate to lose another good one to Hendrick.

  6. Kinda funny on how all the talk thattonymay leave gibbs theres suddenly a spot opened up at HMS come on did yall actually think you would see Jr driving as a teammate with Gordon 2 years ago i sure didnt I think we are in for a great silly season lets see what happens

  7. i think Martin Truex should end up in the 5 car. Stewart  will end up at HAAS with Martin at a driver. but who knows

  8. Yes, Tony will drive the #5 next year.  Don't believe everything you read folks. There have been a lot of "smoke" screens sent out to fool all the reporters and fans.  Notice only ESPN took the bait and reported it as fact.  Here is what happened.  Chevrolet came to Rick Hendrick and asked for help getting Tony back in to a Chevy.  Obviously with Casey Mears performance it wasn't hard to have an opening available.  Chevrolet agreed to buy out Tony's contract from Joe Gibbs.  Tony has been to Hendrick Motorsports and toured the campus.  Tony will drive the #5 for HMS, Tony will take over ownership of Haas CNC racing with help from Rick Hendrick, Mark Martin is going to drive for Tony Stewart Racing (Haas CNC) for a year to help get the team back on track.  If you remember, Dale Sr. drove for RCR while still owning his own race team.  Hendrick has always been good at fooling media and fans of his plans.  Remember him saying "there is no room at the inn" for Dale Jr.?  Or him applying for patents for several numbers for Dale Jr. and none of them were the #88?  Tony will drive the #5 for HMS and still own Haas with Mark Martin as one of his drivers.

  9. I do not think this is going to happen. But I would bet he will have HMS gear under the hood.

  10. He'll definitely go where there is an ownership opportunity. There are already too many stars at Hendrick and I don't think Tony has a chance of going there. Martin will go to Hendrick and Tony to ?????

  11. No, he's going to go to Haas.

  12. Nope he wont......he wants more than a car, he wants ownership and he ain't gonna get it at Hendricks ever...

  13. No, for the above reasons, plus they need to have at least one (or more) rookie drivers who need to & can develop. Loading your team with 'supertars' has short-term benefits but long-term troubles.  Even Roush is top-heavy with veterans (Kenseth, Biffle, Edwards & McMurray) but they do have David Ragan who is coming along nicely, even though he had some big shoes to fill.

  14. Probably not.  Why did Hendrick get rid of Kyle Busch one year ago?  Answer:  because he had attitude problems.  Tony Stewart is the king of attitude problems.  What sense would it make for Hendrick to bring in another one and turn a postiive operation negative?  For a complete discussion and documentation of Stewart's issues, check out http://www.realmanmag.com/tonystewartnas...

  15. umm i dont think that rick will offer it to him but i think that if he did that tony would take the deal....but ppl very close to mark the kid martin say that it is almost offical that mark will be driving the #5 car next year.but i do feel bad for casey cause i really liked him!

  16. Tony is going to Hass/CNC and Mark Martin will drive the 5 car.

  17. For those who say it is mark martin it is not offical Tony Stewart said on friday that he is intersted in the #5 car.

  18. Stewart is a Chevy Guy and he's discussed leaving Gibbs already.... He's a great drafting partner for Jr. He would be the best choice in my opinion. This way Johnson and Gordon can run together which they do very well and Jr. and Stewart will do their thing on the track together. You can't win a race on your own, so why not secure drivers that complement each other.

  19. i don't think so.  it's been pretty clear that the offers he has been considering are those that include ownership, and i don't see him getting part ownership of the #5.  plus, there's this quote from nascar.com:

when asked if it was true that he's on the brink of the haas/cnc deal, he replied slyly, "Oh, no no no. I still have two ARCA teams I'm talking to, a [Craftsman] Truck team, and now the 5 car is available today. I still have a lot of work to do."

sounds pretty "tony" to me - equating taking the ride in the #5 with two ARCA team offers and an NCTS team. he's going with haas/cnc.

  20. No mark martins going to hendrick.

  21. I'll we can do is hope!!! Even though I don't like his attitude much. CUZ TONY's a KISS-UP to Junior and Jeff!

  22. Dale Jr. coming in has hurt the team and if stewart joins he would be punishing to the team to. After going to 2 Nascar races, I know stewart has several fans and him being 88 and 48's teamate too would be Jeff gordon's worst nightmare. Jeff would quit.   Stewart's gonna stay.
