Does anyone think that better times are ahead?

In the united states, for a few good months i was really worried we were about to enter deep depression economically but suddenly this week things dramatically turned around, coinciding with my intuition that the modern world, having its good global communication and technology, is somewhat better at mediating the troughs and ridges of the economies, kind of like the ocean air on a coast moderating the winter freeze.

  1. no i honestly think things can & are going to get worse...  gas prices are unbelivably high and since i live in CA it is amazing how the prices can jump overnight & with no end in sight i can't imagine prices (of anything) going down and as long as our economy is locked in stagflation the orice of living will continue to go up until either(1) only the rich can afford to live (2) people boycott etc (3) the president does something worthwhile that helps the economy... from the way i see it i think i will b very old before things begin to look postive and we in america get to live the american dream again

  2. I'm confident things will improve, once Bush is gone - even John McCain couldn't do as poorly as Bush has. But we're facing a number of problems, some of them difficult, and pessimism won't solve them. The country needs to get over itself, shoulder the burden (including paying taxes), and learn what teamwork can accomplish. We've overcome worse than this in the past, and we'll do it again.

  3. Eventually they'll come, if we Americans can get our heads out of the sand.

  4. i don't think they'll be better times until we get a democrat in,like bill clinton.

  5. check out infowars.com, also watch 911 truth rising on you tube. Also according to revelation we will all stand before god on judgment day, so I would just go by god's laws. The ten commandments the best you can.

  6. Sure.Not me.I have my eyes open.http://www.amerikanexpose.com/quotes1.ht...  http://greatdepression2.org/  http://www.stopthenorthamericanunion.com...  http://www.rense.com/general81/extr.htm

  7. It depends on many things. If Obama wins we will be in real trouble since he has said he won't drill and promised to raise taxes. Mccain says he will keep the tax cuts and will drill as well as develop new sources of energy. So it's really up in the air right now. There is also the prophecy in the Bible if you are a believer and they are pretty grim.Example: Rev13:11-18 and then see antichips.com

I am an optomist though and continue to hope for the best.

  8. statistical and historically for sure there a better times.

BTW who believes in the bible and supports the war at the same time?  or you just remember some parts?

  9. for the United States, they say, things will get worse after election, whoever wins the election. Why? Because the reason why the crisis exist anyway is not because of the American economy solely. The real estate market will not going to get affected because of the election. The price of oil are not controllable as well. And the price for food will always rising due to exploding population of the world.

This is a global issues as the crisis that exist in the US are also existing at the rest of the world. So, it's a job for all of us.

  10. No, worse times.  In the U.S. people complain about everything.  They waste electricity (on the Internet, flat-screen TVs, Wiis, etc), drive SUVs and complain about "global warming", as if it's someone else's fault. They buy houses and cars they can't afford and when they realize it, they want the government to save them.  They build homes below sea level and when they get flooded they want someone else to pay for it.

If people are so ignorant that they can't figure out what is going on and that they (not someone else) are the cause of the problems, and consider a range of solutions (not just what Al Gore or the Liberals say are the right answers), how do they expect to continue to live as they do.  I think we are headed for really bad times.
