  1. NASCAR probably accounts for 0.000000001% of the pollution on Earth.

  2. Loser.

  3. No more than regular drivers do every day. There's more regular drivers than NASCAR drivers.

  4. Yes, and so does the planes, helicopters, buses and other vehicles that transport the indy, drag, football, baseball, basketball, tennis, music, movie stars. Not to mention the people who travel to go see these stars perform.

  5. Actually, a NASCAR race emits as much pollution as 2 hours of rush hour traffic in LA. Not sure that's the exact number, but puts in perspective how little they contribute to pollution.

I suggest people looking  make a real dent in pollution need to go to big industrial cities in China and India that really crank it out.

I knwo at one time, they were sayign thair in Mexico City was so bad, it would be uninhabitable by 2029.

  6. Does an1 think that trolls rule Yahoo????

  7. Not another person who has fallen for that Global Warming B.S.  Give me a break.

  8. yes  but no more than any other form of racing

boat racing pollutes the water and air

  9. Only a fraction of what the global warming alarmists are by globetrotting around warning everyone else.

  10. No but the billions of people driving cars do, so does China with its polluting factories, Saudi Arabia with its oil drilling.  It's funny how you pin it on this sport.

  11. If you're saying that by driving a car, they're contributing to air pollution, you're right.

But unless you yourself don't drive a car, EVER, you're a hypocrite for asking such a question..

  12. Nascar engines are some of the most finely tuned and clean burning engines in the world and put out the least amount of pollution out there.  Passenger cars do far more polluting than Nascar cars.  Especially all the SUV's out there sucking down the gas.

  13. I'm sure it does, just like this question is polluting our NASCAR forum....

    I'm just sayin'....

  14. Well yes.... but if all forms of Auto racing were to stop, it would mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It contributes to such a small fraction of pollution. No one would notice.

  15. A little...but better things are heading to NASCAR!

  16. Just about every thing on the earth polutes so we mays as well just eliminate the earth as a whole.

  17. are you kidding, I stuck my hand under the seat at Pocono, and there was either gum or a booger under the seat. I just don't see why some people are so dirty. And then you got all the Tony Stewart fans throwing beer in the track. I almost threw up on my hotdog

  18. I do...after I have had too much chili.

  19. Maybe so but no more than everything & everyone else on earth. So.........

    GENTELMEN START YOUR ENGINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. there is numerous things has polluted the planet,  traffic jams, diesel belching truck, trains, boats,

plastic paper cigeratte butts.  used cars i could go on and on

  21. Nope....

They hold races for professional drivers.

Other than their occasional hot air, only the cars have measurable emmissions.

    g-day!

  22. As far as I can tell, we all polute the Earth every minute of every day. So we may as well all be polutting together in the grandstands. I'll be the one with the cfc rules t-shirt with the sleeves cut-off.

Sorry. I guess I'm kinda snarky today.

  23. Not with the new fuels used, no. Much of it is ethanol-based.

  24. No more then you do driving to a Nascar race or driving to work.
