  1. Yes, but it is going to be hard, the Chinese will be playing at home.

  2. germany and brazil are strong rivals

  3. Possibly - they have some of the best players in the world and are a good team...although, their recent performance at the world cup and their two lackluster matches at the Olympics suggest otherwise.

They didn't play anywhere near their best against Japan on Saturday and lost against Norway on Wednesday.

Whereas Brazil are playing well, and have the likes of Marta who's in form, and at times practically unstoppable. Germany, as always, are a strong force and China, with the advantage of playing in front of a home crowd, will also be a strong contender. It will certainly be tough for the USA to bring home a gold medal - of even a silver or bronze for that matter, especially without a player that they can always count on to score goals when they need them.

But I'll definitely be cheering on the US team, and I hope that they do get gold.

  4. Yes....for sure.  They have a chance.
